The Senator's Suite:
Senator William Moore, upon purchasing this modest waterfront center hall colonial in 1865, immediately undertook a major renovation that would transform the house into what would become known as “The Moore Villa”. These renovations included a large two story southern wing and a 70’ gingerbread porch overlooking the river. The three added 2nd floor bedrooms, originally for visiting Washington dignitaries, are now what make up the Inn’s Senator’s Suite. This waterside suite, which can be entered through the inn or by its own private outside staircase, includes a bedroom with a brass and painted iron queen size bed, refinished antique oak desk and dresser, private bath with stall shower and deluxe bathroom amenities, French doors leading to a small sitting room with gas fireplace, wall mounted flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and secure hard wired high speed internet access, full size couch and wing chair, and adjoining kitchenette with range/oven, microwave and refrigerator/freezer, sink with breakfast bar and phone. The sitting room also opens to a private canopied waterside deck with wicker furniture, table and chairs for six and the best harbor and sunset views in Mays Landing. This room can accommodate up to three guests by making up the sitting room couch with bedding (additional fee).
